Judging someone .........

 Speaking of ethics , what is the easiest thing to do ? What takes no strength or effort whatsoever ? You and I both know what I am talking about . It's to judge someone .

How I got the idea to write on such a issue ? Well , I attended a lecture of one of my teachers . He was talking about the side effects of money which is totally fine by me , the thing that got me upset was his point of view . His point of view was no different than most of us . He was disliking the money by taunting rich . Was he wrong?

                              WHAT TO LIKE ?

 

The first lesson that appears in the book of ethics is to respect everyone . Now the question is should we respect bad people too . Let me give an example , Abu Jahal was one of the worst enemy of Holy Prophet PBUH . He disobeyed his teachings in every way . Should we not hate him ?

 This is not the real question . The real question is What trait of his should we hate ? Now you see , the answer is simple . We hate the fact that he disobeyed Allah and the fact that he was the enemy of Islam . Right . 

Have you noticed that by thinking this way we are not actually hating the person but his acts . This is what Islam teaches us . Hazrat Umar R.A was an enemy of Islam before and were widely hated [ one might say ] but when he accepted Islam , he was loved more than ever . It is not about person , it is what he Does . 

Now if you are to judge someone , do not look at his self . Instead look at what he does ? If you love or hate at this basis , you will find that by looking at someone else , you will be looking at your dignified version . You will see your mistakes in everyone or everything you see . That is why Prophet said ;

                                             '' Every muslim is a mirror to his brother . ''

                                     CONCLUSION 

It is also believed by this kind of talk that one should not concern himself with matters of the others . It is not true at all . Let me tell you a saying by Shams of Tabriz ;

   '' The whole universe is contained with in a single human being ------ you . Everything you see around ,including the things you might not be fond of and even the people you dislike , is present within you in varying degrees . Therefore , do not look for Satan outside yourself either . The devil is not an extraordinary force that attacks from without . It is an ordinary voice within . If you get to know yourself fully , facing with honesty and hardness both your dark and bright sides , you will arrive at a supreme form of conciousness . When a person knows himself or herself , he or she knows God . ''
